Die ersten Xbox One Games, die durch Microsoft’s ID@Xbox Self-Publishing Programm bereitgestellt werden, sollen im ersten Quartal 2014 erscheinen. Dies hat Director Chris Charla gegenüber Edge in einem Interview bestätigt.
Charla sagte: „I think it will be early in the New Year, in the first three months. I would say closer to the third month. In terms of how many games there will be, it’s hard to say, because they’re still in development.”
Die Spiele, die durch das ID@Xbox Programm veröffentlicht werden, befinden sich in allen möglichen Stadien der Entwicklung. Charla fuhr fort: “Some developers started developing for Xbox One, others already had games in development and are working on Xbox One versions.”
Es wurde kein Projekt konkret beim Namen genannt. Charla gab auch ein Statement zu der Klausel, dass Entwickler ihre Spiele gleichzeitig auf anderen Plattformrahmen veröffentlichen müssten. Er sagte: “Unfortunately we really don’t comment on our publishing policies. Obviously we’ve heard the feedback from developers and we’re looking at all the way the ways we can to lower barriers for developers, but I really can’t comment on publishing policies. The reality is that developers should get in touch with us and talk.”
