Wir hatten bereits vor einiger Zeit über Arena.xlms berichtet, einem vollwertigen Rollenspiel in Excel. Nun gibt es ein neues kurioses Projekt mit dem Namen mySQLgame, ein Mehrspieler-Rollenspiel in einer Datenbank, das man per MySQL spielt.
In mySQLgame startet man als einzelne Zeile in einer Tabelle und startet von dort sein Abenteuer. Allein diese Aussage wird wahrscheinlich Fans von Datenbanken schon jetzt Freudentränen in die Augen treiben.
Es gibt übrigens auch ein Wiki mit einer Anleitung, wie man das Spiel bedient, da nicht jeder von uns sein Leben Datenbanken widmet. Ich habe noch keine Gameplay-Videos auf Youtube entdeckt, also leider gibt es diesmal keine bewegten Bilder aus dem Spiel.
