Half-Life 2: So gut sieht City 17 auf Basis der Unreal Engine aus

Valves Shooter-Hit Half-Life 2 sieht zwar auch noch viele Jahre nach dem Release ganz gut aus, wirklich beeindrucken kann die Optik heute jedoch nicht mehr. Der findige Modder Logithx sorgt aber nun dafür, dass zumindest City 17 in neuem Glanz erstrahlt.

Möglich macht das die Unreal Engine auf Basis derer Logithx die Ingame-Stadt nachgebaut hat. Klickt einfach auf die Screens in dieser News, um City 17 in der beeindruckenden Unreal-Optik zu bestaunen.

Logithx schreibt zu diesen Screens: Was working on this City 17 environment in UDK, still tons of stuff to do like creating all the exterior stuff, train interiors and some smaller models (monitors and props) but then Epic released UE4 in all its glory. I’ll probably quit this project in UDK and convert it all to the Unreal Engine 4. It’s gonna take a while though. Please note that there’s lots of placeholder models/textures/lighting and general derpyness in these pics. Can’t wait to get going with UE4.

Es ist also gut möglich, dass Logithx das Projekt auf Basis der Unreal Engine 4 weiterführt. Wir halten euch auf dem laufenden!

    Das sieht grandios aus! Eine aufpolierte Nachempfindung von Half Life 2 könnte einschlagen wie eine Bombe. Das Black Mesa-Projekt für den Erstling war auch super!

    Allerdings! Black Mesa habe ich auch gespielt.
